In 12.0 and beyond, expect to see some more high quality graphics I ripped from MFGG and TSR (with credit), as well as a bunch of original sprites and tilesets I've sprited, including a couple of expansions! Some of these GFX I made are also based on sprite sheets I uploaded to MFGG too, as well as individual GFX packs (such as the Extended Pipes tilesets and Extended Ghost House tilesets) that I have uploaded in the past too. Last edited on 10:17:55 AM by Wakanaįorum Index → Valley of Bowser → Moderation Questions → Hacks → Mario vs SONIC.This GFX pack has been around in the SMBX community for a very long time, with the earliest releases dating back to 2012! Almost nine to ten years after its final version, 11.0 was released, this pack has been finally updated for use with SMBX2, even going as far as to including special GFX that are meant to replace certain custom NPCs that you can find on the LunaLUA forum.įor archival purposes, most of the recolors and other poorly made GFX has been preserved (with some exceptions due to me being ashamed of how bad they were in the past), as well as most MFGG rips that were added before. txt? Same problem with the end of demo level. Forgot to include #default/#optimized in the. Trasport to S.B.: When music changes, SFX sound glitched. You could try a white color for your letters, so you can see them (2) The end of demo level name is all glitchy, as you can see (3) Minor, but look that part of your overworld: the left side has a major perspective error. Many things here: (1) The OW border's color is too dark, and the level names can be barely seen. The first level is also an example of bad aesthetics, almost unchanged from the previous demo. I know the hack is a creepypasta one, but this doesn't justify you to not use clean palettes. Watch out your ceilings, I can get in the dirt here Other minor errors you should consider fixing, listed below: I assume something is wrong with the powerdown patch you inserted, so be sure to give it a look (or atleast, ask help to any ASMer). Every time you get hit, the game either goes black screen or freezes with a fancy screen like the one up there. Yes, seems that your hack isn't compatible with major emulators. This isn't the main reason I'm rejecting this, though. The design kind of gets somewhere as you progress, and it's acceptable, but I'm still not a fan of it. I must say the quality improved a bit overall. (Ignore minor errors in the hack, in which will be corrected in the future.Īlso ignore the bug in the box item to jump on an enemy.) Once all the main issues are fixed, I'll accept your hack. Each time Mario stomps/kicks an enemy, the item in the item box will disappear for an instant. Stuff like this and this doesn't look too good. As I said again, you should take care of the graphics and palettes. ![]() In the first level, the first enemy you meet is confusing: it looks like you can jump on it, but it's a spiny. Again, going in the creepypasta way of hacks doesn't justify you from making messes with palettes or graphics. A big offender may be this, but I could make an example for each level. There isn't a clean use of palettes and graphics overall. Second, there is not good enough quality content. I suggest you to try making each level more unique from the others (adding gimmicks and things like this, instead of being a "go right while avoiding enemies" all the time), as well as, maybe, making your future demo more lenghty (something like 10 exits, if you will keep the same kind of design, should be enough). Plus, you went with 6 exits, which isn't enough if you consider how your levels are. ![]() Your hack's levels are extremly linear, samey, and not too different each other. Also, I think that this distracted you from the core factors, there are lots of causes which made me reject this hack.įirst, there is not enough gameplay per single run. ![]() I think you have the wrong idea of what a creepypasta hack should be. Now Mario must kill him and take his secret Emerald (black), and relive all. SONIC.EXE killed all the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom, including Luigi, Peach, Yoshi and Toad.
